Saltmarsh Flags
Here at Saltmarsh HQ we are always looking for enthusiastic and committed people to join our amazing volunteer’s team. Like many events it would not be possible for us to operate without help and support from the public in terms of time, goodwill, hard work and commitment. The core team are very appreciative of the volunteers and it is always a great experience to work as a team and meet new people along with returning volunteers of old.

Below is a list highlighting some of the varied roles available for volunteers:

  • Starts – Meet & greet, set up and take down start equipment and resources, assist with competitor questions, help ensure smooth running of check in.
  • Checkpoint staff - Register competitor check-in times, check competitor welfare, friendly & motivational, provide refreshment / snacks, set up & take down checkpoint.
  • Finishes – Celebrate, participant finishes, help support competitors at the end of the day, register competitor times, serve finish refreshment and foods, assist with set ups and take downs.
  • Drivers – Help transport competitor luggage and essentials to checkpoints / finishes. Be part of the team that transports competitors between locations at the finishes.
  • Kitchen staff – Assist in food preparation and light cooking duties at the Ultra finish. Help in servery set up and clear up.
  • Logistics – Be part of the team that sets up check points, takes down check points, distributes snack & beverage supplies to check points, aids with troubleshooting at checkpoints.

Other roles maybe required during the event so we ask that volunteers are prepared to be flexible to changing roles. Although it can involve periods of being cold and possibility wet (lovely British weather conditions) being part of the Saltmarsh Team is truly rewarding and is a unique and fun experience.

If you feel you have the commitment and desire to be part of the Saltmarsh75 event team please get in touch. You will be contacted by one of the team who will try and accommodate you in a role of your choice.
